B.I.G. Contest
The Best Informed Greenhand (B.I.G.) Contest is designed specifically for our first-year (9th-grade) FFA members to dive into the foundations of FFA. Through a written exam, students are tested on their understanding of FFA history, the Creed, parliamentary procedure, official dress and emblems, and the state and national constitutions and bylaws.

Format & Topics:
- A 50-question multiple-choice test
- Covers FFA milestones and structure, the Creed & motto, basic parliamentary procedure, and official rules from the constitutions and bylaws.
Levels of Competition:
- Chapter – Every contestant starts here.
- Section & Region – Top scorers advance through increasingly challenging rounds.
- State – Our finalists represent West Valley and vie for top honors against fellow California chapters.
