August - Club Rush
At the start of the school year, West Valley FFA made a strong impression during the annual Club Rush event. Officers and members came together to showcase what FFA is all about—leadership, hands-on learning, competitions, and community. With an eye-catching booth, interactive displays, and passionate student voices, we welcomed new faces and sparked interest in agriculture. October - Safari Park Field Trip
Animal Science students had the opportunity to go to the San Diego Safari Park to visit the animals, but also, they were able to see the private research facility where they were able to test southern white rhinoceros urine to see if they were pregnant. Students learned how to use micropipettes, hormone pathways, and about the conservation of this species. This was an amazing opportunity for our FFA/vet science students |
November - Riverside Section Leadership Conference
The FFA Officer team attended an overnight camp leadership conference, where they met with all Riverside Section officers. Throughout the weekend, they participated in leadership workshops to enhance their skills. They also enjoyed other activities such as rock climbing, canoeing, and archery. |
December - SoCal FFA Leadership Conf.
Students attended the Southern California FFA Leadership Conference. Students learned important skills in public speaking, planning events, networking, and how to empower leaders within our school. It was a great event and our students gained plenty of leadership skills to continue to improve our program and our chapter. |
January – CDE Competition Season Begins
January kicked off our spring Career Development Events (CDE) season with excitement and determination. Our Vet Science, Nursery/Landscape, and Job Interview teams proudly represented West Valley FFA in their first competitions of the year. Students demonstrated their technical knowledge, professional skills, and teamwork as they competed against other chapters. These events provided real-world experiences and a chance to grow in confidence, leadership, and industry skills, setting a strong tone for the rest of the competition season. |
February - FFA Weak
February was all about celebrating FFA spirit during National FFA Week! Each day was packed with fun activities that brought students together and promoted agricultural education. From dress-up spirit days to lunchtime games, staff appreciation treats, and our FFA-themed scavenger hunt, the energy on campus was incredible. We also shared daily facts about agriculture and FFA to educate and inspire others. The week was a great reminder of the pride, leadership, and community that make West Valley FFA so special. |
March - Riverside County Fair
Our FFA students showcased their hard work and dedication at the Riverside County Fair, where they entered various projects to be judged. Showcasing ag mechanics and handmade crafts, our students demonstrated their skills and passion for agriculture. A huge congratulations to all of our students who participated! Your commitment to agricultural education and hands-on learning is inspiring. |
April - FFA State Conference
Our members had an amazing experience at the FFA State Conference! They attended workshops hosted by different universities, explored future opportunities at the college fair, and heard from inspiring public speakers. They also visited the Sacramento State Capitol and toured UC Davis, getting a closer look at leadership in action and future career paths. One of the biggest highlights was witnessing the election of the new California FFA State Officer Team! It was an unforgettable event filled with leadership, learning, and lots of blue and gold pride! |
May – FFA Banquet Celebration
Our annual FFA Banquet was a memorable evening filled with celebration, gratitude, and recognition. Students were honored with awards for their achievements throughout the year, and our seniors proudly received their sashes and cords. The night included heartfelt speeches, a look back at our chapter’s accomplishments, and a warm welcome to our new officer team. We closed the evening with cake, smiles, and excitement for what’s ahead. It was the perfect way to wrap up a successful year in West Valley FFA! |
